Our Story

Hi I'm John,

In elementary school I had a friend with AAC needs, he was not incredibly happy with the solutions our school had given him at the time. They were laggy, expensive and cumbersome to use... and so that summer Second Voice (originally called John-Speech-Test) was born. We've obviously come a long way and I still cringe when I look back at that original project (as I hope I will with what we're building now in a few years). Despite many other hobby projects over the years Second Voice would ultimately create what is now Ducky Software. This past summer we got supported through a program at Google for Startups and with there help has been able to take things to the next level. I hope that after reading this and when you use our products they come become genuinely helpful parts of your lives because above all helping people is what this entire journey started for and is about. I moved away before I could ever show that original classmate the app, I don't believe he ever got to try it sadly... But thanks to the support of everyone involved more people can and I hope that this product will help as many people's lives as possible.
